HR Ticino Young “How to turn a passion into a profession”

The internal strategies of transformation

Thursday 9 May 2019 I was invited as a speaker to the CINEFORUM event organized by HR Ticino Young and HR Ticino to comment on the film JULIE & JULIA, a film written and directed by Nora Ephron in 2009.

The audience was made up of over sixty people, including human resources specialists and entrepreneurs.

The theme proposed by HR Ticino Young for the evening was oriented towards the exploration of internal strategies that allow to transform a passion into a profession.

Having personally experienced an important transformation of my professional identity, it was possible for me to bring content of great value to the public present at the event.

In fact, after fifteen years at the top management of the most important international talent, model and celebrity management companies and following studies that lasted over a decade, I decided to open QUANTASIA SA and become an entrepreneur, driven by passion and desire to support companies, managers and work teams in the processes of change, personal and professional growth, through strategic coaching, training and corporate facilitation.

Based on the stories of the two protagonists of the film, I elaborated and presented the strategies of transformation and success in a process of change, commenting on every single point with clarity.

Following various requests from the public, I gladly share the content of my presentation.

To sum up, when someone starts living a passion, often doesn’t understand what really happens inside him. He experiences sensations and emotions that are the maximum expression of the soul, these emotions are the energy of creation and of inspiration.

If the environment around supports the person in exploring these sensations, it will be easier for him to bring out and express the talents and passions. While if he lives in a hostile environment, these emotions risk being suffocated and not giving life to what he feels within.

THE STRATEGIES OF SUCCESS AND TRANSFORMATION

AUTHORIZATION
Authorisation is to allow yourself to dream, means letting emotions slide free to look beyond, leaving old patterns behind and creating new visions, even if these initially seem impossible or impossible!

SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS
Children, not yet conditioned by society, easily connect to their passions, because they live their emotions freely. We adults instead, when we are in those moments of stalemate where we want more from our life but we do not yet know which direction to take, we are obliged to give “information” to our brain in order to orient ourselves in the world. Reading books, attending courses and being curious helps us understand what makes us excited and where we want to go.
Small trick, remember that not always what we like is what we like to do! Passion is love!

SUCCESS IS CO-CREATION
We human beings can only succeed in life thanks to other human beings.
In the film, the director gives a very important clue: the act of co-creation is represented in moments of well-being, sharing and love. Co-creating means embracing people and building with them. We cannot access the inspiration and energy of creation if we are in frustration and pain. In pain you don’t create: you run away, you protect yourself or attack!

EMOTIONAL NEURO ALIGNMENT
Alignment between what we feel (emotions) and what we desire (vision – thoughts).
If our emotions do not support our vision, we cannot create something extraordinary in the material world. Emotions are the fuel! When we live a passion we spontaneously live the neuro emotional alignment, we are full of enthusiasm, joy and we feel determined! These energies are what allow us to go through challenges!

PURPOSE
The purpose that drives us to achieve something is the “WHY” that push us to overcome us, to put our talents at the service of others.

PERSEVERANCE
When we are in the energy of creation, driven by joy and enthusiasm, convinced of what we do and we are facing difficult moments, as if by magic we access an unimaginable force: courage.

CRITICAL
The people around us do not have our vision and do not experience our emotions and it is normal that they do not understand us. A criticism is an opinion expressed by someone who has a different point of view from ours.

WORK OUT
Theoretical, mental, emotional and technical preparation is fundamental to achieve excellence. Try and try again to succeed!

KNOW HOW TO CALCULATE THE PRICE TO PAY IT
It is essential to know how to create in the material world by calculating the obstacles in advance, the price to pay. This allows us to keep the focus and makes us stronger and faster in the manifestation of our results.

ATTRACT OPPORTUNITIES
Before seeing the results of hard work it takes time, when you live a passion initially it is not the economic return that you expect, but it is the desire to live the emotion given by the experience you are looking for! We must have faith when working with the energy of the heart, the opportunities will not be long in coming!

MANIFESTATION OF RESULTS
We learn to feel gratitude when we achieve our goals and desires, there is no greater reward that we can give to ourselves and the universe.

DEVELOP AN ENTREPRENEUR MINDSET
To turn a passion into a job, you need to acquire internal and external entrepreneurial strategies.

In conclusion, it is essential to have a realistic time in transforming a passion into a job. If you want to achieve great results, plan your change slowly.

Special thanks to Lisa Corti of HR Young Ticino for the creation of this event, without her it would not have been possible!

The future is a fantasy, the past a memory, only the present is real. Those who live in the future are not satisfied with their present, those who live in the past have already given up on living!
