Neuro Emotional Coaching is a complementary personal development discipline, but it is not a therapy
Discover the practice of Neuro Emotional Coaching and positively transform your life!
In the last 10 years, coaching has become popular among personal and professional development disciplines.
Neuro Emotional Coaching, belonging to the neuroscientific studies of famous international doctors and popularisers including Dr. Mani Hesam, Dr. David Lafrançois and Dr. Joe Dispenza, has gained more and more value among the disciplines that allow a substantial positive change in the life of those who “practice” it. Yes, that’s right, because Neuro Emotional Coaching is a practice!
Neuro Emotional Coaching is a practical discipline of meditative techniques that tend to create a process of change in the brain and body (neuro-emotional), as well as in the mind-set.
However, it is essential to make a clear distinction between Neuro Emotional Coaching and therapy. Although both approaches are oriented towards individual improvement, Neuro Emotional Coaching focuses mainly on the future and on achieving specific goals.

In the process of improvement, the Neuro Emotional Coaching goes through three phases:
- The regaining of one’s own balance and inner well-being.
- The strengthening phase in which new strategies and techniques are acquired and integrated to favour the growth of the mind-set
- The performance stage
The purpose of Neuro Emotional Coaching is to improve performance in various categories of life: sport, love life, relationships, work, finances, well-being. Evolving means creating new behaviours that create greater satisfaction and results, and to create new behaviours you need to act on your mind-set, on your ability to focus and on your emotional hygiene.
Neuro Emotional Coaching is versatile, and it is for this reason that it is useful for every human being who wants to improve to create more value in their life.
Therapy, on the other side, aims to treat discomfort, mental disorders and emotional problems such as depression; therefore, coaching cannot replace adequate therapy.
More often than one would think, people who follow a psychological or therapeutic path arrive at a moment in their personal journey where they need something more or different, something that drives them towards an enhancement or a change and this is when they turn to a Coach.
You can find below the substantial differences between therapy and Neuro Emotional Coaching.
The goal of Neuro Emotional Coaching
During the Neuro Emotional Coaching process, goals are sought and defined with the client and strategies are shared to create an effective mindset in achieving the established goals. Meditative techniques are also shared, which allow you to increase focus and well-being towards your goals to increase performance, to facilitate change and to maximize the transformation from the present state to the desired state. Neuro Emotional Coaching focuses primarily on the present and the future. Neuro Emotional Coaching can be practiced in all areas of life, such as career, relationships, or well-being.
The goal of a psychological or therapeutic path
Therapy focuses on the past and the present, focusing on traumas, disorders, and mental and emotional distress. Therapy provides in-depth psychological support, it helps to clarify one’s childhood, relationship problems and one’s personality. It also addresses discomforts that can negatively affect a person’s emotional well-being such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and many other mental disorders. Therapists have the skills to diagnose and intervene on such discomforts, while coaches lack the skills to substitute for adequate therapy when needed.
The different backgrounds and skills of the coach and the therapist
Therapists are mental health professionals with specific training in psychology, psychiatry, or counselling. They have an in-depth understanding of psychological dynamics, mental illnesses, and therapeutic techniques.
The coach, on the other hand, is trained to facilitate the learning process, the personal development, and the performance enhancement. While equipped with effective communication and change management skills, they lack clinical training to treat complex mental disorders or to provide psychological diagnoses. Therefore, people who have internal discomforts are advised to consult a therapist first and then to move towards a coaching path.
To conclude, we can say that therapy is a process of care and healing, while Neuro Emotional Coaching is a process of improvement and strengthening of one’s skills and qualities for the achievement of specific objectives.
