Emotions and relationships change our life

Claudia Vece – 7 December 2021

We do not come into the world walking, already aware and mature. Life is like as if we were thrown into the sea and we have to learn to swim. It is a process of growth and awareness in which we have the noble task of understanding who we are in order to express our essence, and we can do it in many forms, but our evolution is conditioned by our relationships, by the people around us since birth.

Neuroscience explains to us that relationships not only shape the psyche, but also the brain, therefore between our biological and family history there is no distance in the emotional form.

The new scientific studies

Sciences today confirm an ancient knowledge, namely that the human being is an energetic-emotional field that manifests itself through the body, starting from the DNA that represents the expression of our parents and our ancestors and, therefore, contains the memories of more intimate relationships. It is in the depth of our cells that the memories of the links that have occurred with our most intimate environment are impressed through an emotional imprint.

DNA is a potential that is modified in its expression through the information we receive from our environment, therefore from our relationships. Even the emotions felt by the mother during pregnancy seem to influence genetic expression up to the third subsequent generation. This makes us understand our masterful responsibility in learning to create relationships based on love, understanding and forgiveness.

In adulthood, when we experience emotional distress, we can move into the dimension of “reconnection” with those intimate relationships that we have somehow only partially lived. We therefore have the power to transform what prevents us from making us feel emotionally free, starting from ourselves. Epigenetic science, in fact, explains to us that we can rewrite our emotional history by acting directly on our DNA through feeling, through emotions or through the relationship, the touch, the look, the smile and the tone of voice.

We can heal our experiences through emotions, since they have the ability to influence the set of neural networks, the relationships within our brain.

The negative emotions we have experienced in the past have created a memory within us, which, like a silent warning, has put our entire system on alert, and this can last for years or for a lifetime. However, we can act and modify this memory by feeling emotions of joy and love and by creating an intense peak of energy that, if it lives within us long enough, allows us to rewrite a memory.

In addition, we can also act on our relationships; we can in fact choose to forgive, to apologize and to reconnect with love for ourselves and love for our neighbor. We can decide to love more or we can try to exchange a glance with someone and imagine the gaze of the one who surrounds us, of those who love us and reconnect to the security and trust within us.

What we call humanity is represented by our relationships and the quality of our emotions, as these tell us who we are and what energy we bring into the world.
